Demineralised Water2022-06-28T20:06:44+00:00

WHAT IS DEMINERALISED WATER?

• Water that has been stripped of metals, minerals and salts.

• Known as ‘pure water’ produced by a process called ‘Reverse Osmosis’.

• Reverse Osmosis strips out soluble and insoluble contaminants by forcing the solution through a 0.0001µ membrane.

• An ideal foundation for any industrial & commercial site that wants to control their water quality.

• Chemical free process.

• Affordable, reliable, on-demand solution for demineralised water.

What sectors?

• Suitable for anyone who requires demineralised.

• We supply to a huge range of residential, industrial & commercial sectors.

How does Reverse Osmosis work?

• Uses pressure to force the water through semi-permable membranes

• Separates the incoming water quality into two streams; ‘Permeate’ & ‘Concentrate’.

• ‘Permeate’ is the pure water stream.

• ‘Concentrate’ is the rejected minerals.

Why Siren Water Treatment?

• Years of designing water treatment plants incorporating reverse osmosis.

• We offer supply, installation and commissioning.

• We provide reports upon completion stating exactly what has been done, your water quality along with results of before and after the softener.

• Part of what we do is educating companies and share our knowledge and expertise.

FAQs

How much water will I waste?2022-03-12T08:51:09+00:00

Usually the rejection rate is around 20% of the supply feed. However, there are ways to reduce or reuse waste water depending on your treated water requirements.

Is it cost effective?2022-03-12T08:49:23+00:00

Depending on your treated water requirements, yes. If you require a constant supply of pure water, without the risk and storage problems of chemicals then reverse osmosis is fast becoming the most popular solution.

Does incoming water quality matter?2022-03-12T08:48:21+00:00

Yes, pre-treatment is required in most cases to remove particulates, minerals and salts that will cause damage to the RO membranes. The amount of pre-treatment required is dependent on a water sample, carried out by our engineers on a site survey.

Do I require a pumped supply?2022-03-12T08:46:56+00:00

Anything over a domestic sized system would require a pumped supply. It’s against water regulations to install a pump on a mains fed supply without a break tank. We can assist in tailoring what you require.
