Turbidity2022-06-26T00:05:23+00:00
Used cartridge filters which have captured suspended turbidity

WHAT IS TURBIDITY?

• Turbidity is a measurement for how clear a solution is.

• Turbid water is characterised by a hazy, muddy, unclear appearance.

• Turbidity in solution can be from dirt, sediments and particles, inorganic materials and more.

• Required standard for turbidity for potable water is 4.0 NTU

• You may find that the water will become clearer if left in a glass, so the suspended particles can settle.

HOW CAN WE TREAT TURBIDITY?

• Treated through filtration.

• Treated through cartridge filtration or a self cleaning units; this depends on the severity of the water.

• Cartridge filtration is ideal for low amounts of turbidity as higher levels will result in filter blockage and a drop in pressure.

• Self-cleaning units will perform a scheduled daily clean where all sediment and particulates held by the filter media will be sent to drain.

• Good practice to remove turbidity prior to treating any other undesirable minerals, as this will likely reduce any that are in suspension.

•Different grades of filtration available.
